Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find detailed submission guidelines?
Please refer to our detailed submission guidelines to prepare your files correctly.
What is Headroom?
Headroom is the amount of space between the peak level of your audio track and the maximum allowable level (0 dBFS). Maintaining sufficient headroom helps ensure optimal sound quality and provides flexibility during mixing and mastering.
Can I put processing on the master bus of my mix before rendering?
Yes, minimal processing (such as subtle compression or EQ) that contributes to your desired sound can be used on the master bus. However, avoid aggressive limiting or heavy clipping. Ensure your mix retains adequate headroom and dynamic range for the mastering stage.
Should I include a rough mix or pre-master with my submission?
Yes, providing a rough mix or pre-master along with your self-mastered version (if available) helps clearly demonstrate your desired sound, style, and loudness targets. We offer detailed feedback on this submission at no additional cost.
Should I leave plugins or effects on my tracks for mixing?
Please leave plugins and effects active on your tracks if they are integral to your sound. Just ensure all stems are exported without excessive clipping or heavy limiting.
Should I export my stems with volume automation?
Yes, please retain automation in your stems to accurately convey the dynamics and creative intent of your mix.
What audio enhancements are typically included in mixing?
Typical mixing enhancements include detailed level balancing, EQ adjustments, dynamic control (compression), vocal processing, spatial effects (reverb and delay), and creative effects processing.
What audio enhancements are typically included in mastering?
Typical mastering enhancements include noise reduction, stereo imaging, tonal balancing, vocal clarity, multiband compression, transient shaping, and harmonic saturation.
Should I request a separate streaming master?
Generally, a separate streaming master is unnecessary because streaming platforms' loudness targets are often ineffective, as many tracks are uploaded at competitive loudness levels regardless. Having one consistent master ensures your track sounds optimal everywhere. However, if desired, a dedicated streaming master can be provided upon request.
Do you offer discounts for multiple tracks?

Do you offer special rates or discounts for record labels?

What is your typical turnaround time?

What does your vocal processing service include?
Vocal processing typically includes tuning, timing adjustments, EQ, compression, de-essing, and special effects tailored to your project's needs.
Should I include a reference track for vocal processing?
Yes, providing a reference track or rough vocal mix is helpful for clearly understanding your creative goals and expectations.
